This new business life in Detroit is coming off rapid growth, now that the City
is beginning to monitor and regulate the location of stores established under State law.
Many stores are already gone, leaving behind a bright spot
on a desolate streetscape. Other stores still survive, closely guarded (it is a cash business) and strongly secured.
Anyone entering
the premise is required to produce a State of Michigan Medical Marijuana
Certification Card.
At last count, 178,629 active registered marijuana
patients in Michigan, and growing. Go
